八千代松陰高等学校

9時半から最終目的であるプレゼンテーションに関する講義が始まりました。タイトルの書き方とイントロダクションについての講義でした。タイトルのコツとして、短く、インパクトがあり、相手に興味を惹かせるものが重要であることを生徒達は学びました。自身の選んだトピックに関して「なぜそのトピックを選んだか」を具体的に説明できるようにすることで、イントロダクションの部分で相手の感情を揺さぶり、さらに相手を惹きつけることができると講師の方に指導していただきました。生徒達は講師とコミュニケーションをとりながらタイトルとイントロダクションに関する内容決定に向け試行錯誤している様子が見受けられました。

その後、大学構内にあるリード図書館を訪れました。職員の中には、「library and information science」を専攻している方もおり、図書館が人気である理由はスタッフの充実さも含まれているようにも感じます。そのような図書館で、フレドニアの歴史や文化に関する書物を読み、それについてスタッフとコミュニケーションを行い理解を深めることができました。

SUNYBlueフレドニア校内のスポーツジムを訪れました。そこには、サッカーや野球、バスケなどフレドニア校を代表する16チームを有するジムや「Blue Devils」というチームがあります。講師の方にジムや水泳など様々な練習施設を案内してもらい説明していただきました。スポーツジムとしての充実さを体感できました。その施設でスポーツ体験できることを生徒達はとても楽しみにしている様子でした。バスケにて６ｖｓ６でチーム戦を行い、運動を通じて日々の疲れを癒やしました。

「I had some good points and bad points yesterday.

Good points
・I tried talking with a woman a lot. I wanted to talk with other people and make more friends yesterday.

Bad points
・I sometimes spoke Japanese during lessons.
⇒Japanese makes a language barrier between professors and students.
→Today, I should talk in English all the time during classes. ‘’Only English’’ like CUP.
・I couldn’t  say ‘’ Would you please repeat that slowly?’’
⇒I wanted to say this sentence, but I couldn’t.
→Today, I will say that as early as possible when I can’t understand. Don’t be shy!

Maybe  they  accept to an ALT lesson. So I want to tell you about them…

Today, we are going to visit the university library and Athletics Center.
We will watch the women’s college  softball game. 」
「In the morning, we progressed to our own presentation. 
We learned about important thing.
・We should make the topic’s title more mysterious like a movie title.
→You don’t have to say all the things about the contents, but you have to make the audience be interested.

In the afternoon, we played basketball. Mr Kato and Kashimada enjoyed it with the boys.

When we finished having dinner, many students tried to talk with other people.
We  were very happy to keep chatting with them！」
